Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG.COM

Creating high-quality content to celebrate the game’s release

Goal

Drive traffic to GOG.COM during the Cyberpunk 2077 release window, engage users and educate them about the benefits of buying on this platform.

Execution

Project N created a video with the developers of the game to celebrate its fans. In addition, two written game guides were created for the first steps and advanced playthrough.

Results

Over 1M views of the video on various platforms and above-average viewership and engagement rates of the written content.

GOG.COM asked us to create a developer “Thank You” video, and two Cyberpunk 2077 game guides to accompany the game’s release in December 2020, to celebrate the fans, and get players up to speed with how they could explore Night City.

Throughout the campaign, we worked with GOG.COM and CD PROJEKT RED on gathering assets, video footage, game capture, music, and anything else we needed to create the best content possible. All content was reviewed and approved by GOG.COM and CD PROJEKT RED, and then released in their official channels.

In early December 2020, GOG.COM released the “Thank You” video with the developers from CD PROJEKT RED. A localized Chinese version of the video was produced too. At the time we were also working on the written content. The first piece titled “Cyberpunk 2077 Game Guide – First Steps” went live together with the release of the game with “Cyberpunk 2077 Game Guide – Advanced Tips and Tricks” following a few days later.

 

Project N supported us in producing high-quality marketing assets while operating within tight deadlines. I look forward to working with them again.
