Turtle Beach: Flip to Mute Campaign

A localised campaign tailored specifically to FIFA fans in the UK.

Goal

Promote the Recon 70 headset to FIFA fans and drive conversion by focusing on the headset’s ‘flip to mute’ feature.

Execution

As we were already attending a FIFA tournament at Gfinity Studios, we capitalised on the opportunity to film our trailer on set with the event’s casters, as well as a product video filmed in 4K.

Results

This campaign video drove a click-through rate of more than 3 percent and significantly outperformed global assets when served to UK audiences.

We headed to the Gfinity Studios tournament set in London for the FUT Champions Cup and seized the opportunity to capture the atmosphere for a Turtle Beach Recon 70 promotional video. Between takes, we worked with the on-site casters to get authentic footage that felt connected to the tournament action.

We then made use of our parent company’s DMP audience data to retarget audiences who’d shown interest in Turtle Beach products from other recent campaigns, and utilised our relationship with GAME Retail Ltd to drive traffic to their store.

The results proved the effectiveness of this kind of tailored, regional approach. On Facebook, link click-through rates were almost as much as three times high.
