Project N started working with Skybound in February 2023, when they asked us to make a website for their upcoming game: Closer The Distance. The original brief requested that the website showcase the unique art style of the game, while also providing prospective players with information and resources such as trailers and screenshots. The website was to be available in five languages and include newsletter integration and a wishlisting feature.

Our design team worked on an interactive carousel of characters, using short biographies written by our editorial team, to introduce the main characters in the game. One of the most eye-catching features of the website was a bespoke animation created from static key art assets, which helped to bring the game and world of Yesterby to life.

Visual achievements aside, we ensured the site's SEO was perfect throughout, giving it the second ranking – first place being the purchase link for the game itself from Steam – on Google.

The website went live on 5 April, after 79 hours of development for the site build.

The client was delighted with the final product and it massively helped them to announce their upcoming title in style.
